Stress Management through Golfing

Managing stress can often be a tricky task. It’s sometimes difficult to find ways to cope with difficult situations or even channel your emotion. Ive often heard my coworkers mention that golfing has always helped them. So I said what the heck, let’s give it a shot. My wife and I went to a great golf resort and we tried it out. Now at first I wasn’t too thrilled about getting up at 6am on a saturday morning but as the day progressed I really began to feel at ease and much more calm.

Sometimes separating yourself from your natural habitat can help with forgetting or at least putting aside some of your frustrations. Coming to a serene place with sunshine and just you and the green field can be a liberating experience.

I’m not suggesting that every stressed person should go out and pick up a set of golf clubs but should think of ways to exploring new opportunities that really separate you from the day to day. This can be taking a new cooking class, or starting outdoor or indoor yoga, the options are endless. For the golf goers happy putting and for the rest look forward to finding something new to help manage your stress.
