Creating Positivity

Its 7am and the alarm clock goes off, it’s time to shower and get dressed for work again. You gaze out the window to find several other house lights flicker on and realize its time to get up. You get your morning paper, take your pet out to do its business and pack your lunch. You give your significant other, kids, pet a kiss and wave goodbye and you’re off to another day at the office. You wonder how you are going to get through a grueling 8 hrs of a work day.  That thought is likely not only crossing your mind, but your bosses mind and your boss’s boss’s mind as well. I mean after all who likes getting up early in the morning.

Now I’m blessed with one of the best dogs on the planet, he greets me on my way out and on my way in with a big tail wag. I sit at work and think to myself, hey only 4 hrs left and I get to go home and play with my dog. I have to work to take care of him and enjoy his company (Pet’s can get expensive) and I fuel that as my motivation. I know that if I didn’t have a job, I would have to give him up.

If you have kids, your wife, family, friends or an exciting party to go to, use that as your energy for creating a positive atmosphere. The more positive you are throughout the day, the better of a day you will likely have and faster it will swing by. Each and every day ask yourself what’s taking place in my life that is exciting and fun and count down the days to it. If you can’t think of something, now is the time to join the gym and look forward to getting in shape, take a cooking class or learn a new instrument. Remember most people set boundaries for themselves. Expand your horizon and make it a point to find something new and exciting to do in your life. Just think positive!
