Top 5 Fitness Motivation Factors

Often times many people picture themselves on a beach somewhere with a fit and lean physique but when it comes time to pack up the gym back they often tell themselves that they will start tomorrow of put it off for some other excuse. Understanding that sitting on the couch and watching TV is not a form of a productive calorie burning activity is something people fail to understand. So we went to the gym and asked close to 100 people what motivates them to hit the gym and hit it hard and here is what we found:

5) Putting up posters of famous fit people with snapshots of the themselves next to their idol. Changing this picture each month to show progress motivates them

4) Walk on the beach without the fear of feeling in secure is a motivation factor

3) Often time’s people will join the gym so they can aim for a better lifestyle. They want to live healthier and eat better. The thought of going to the doctor and not worrying about negative news excites some of our new fitness fanatics

2) People often purchase clothes that are a size or two smaller and hang it up in their room with the anticipation that they will fit in it within a few months

1) The top motivation driver for people is upcoming events such as a wedding, birthday or party. The thought of a ‘changed person’ in everybody’s eyes is something appealing and is our top ranked motivation factor

Everybody has their own motivational factors; some which people share while others are vastly different. What the reason is not as important as acting on it. So before you decide to drop the gym back sit in your couch ask yourself what motivates you? Time is not always your friend but it could be your best friend if you chose to take advantage of it.
