Getting a Rock Solid Body

Have you ever thought to yourself that the conventional old gym workouts are just not as rewarding as they once were? Fitness can sometimes cause diminishing returns if you put in the same energy level over time. Without actually challenging yourself, you are bound to reach a plateau. I recently went on this exciting yet challenging enduring challenge that requires you to combat your fear, use all muscle groups and give you a workout you could never imagine. My wife joined me on this challenge and she says I’m somewhat fun to watch and that’s not because I can just zip through it, but rather I struggle and mumble under my breath asking myself what the heck I’ve go myself into. However, she acknowledges that I’m still a good sport. The point is while I’m huffing and puffing and sometimes wanting to quit I continually challenge myself and keep in mind that I will come through by closing my eyes and just saying “you can do this…the end is near and you will get there”. I’m also thankful I have a fitness fanatic wife who although gets the odd chuckle watching me struggle on these obstacle course, is still very supportive.

So the next time you are in the gym and running on the treadmill close your eyes for a second (without falling of course) and tell yourself that you are not only near your goal but will get there. Now if you need to stop and feel you just cant do it, then stop however the next time you get on always try to surpass your previous accomplishments and look forward to nearing and successfully completing your goal. Challenge the norm and yourself and there isn’t any fitness goal that is out of your reach.

The video below is a good motivation. I personally like her videos because she challenges herself to do better each time.

Good luck!
